Each year a group of round engine enthusiasts gathers in Idaho Falls for a weekend of vintage airplanes, interesting people, and great food!
2024 Round Engine Roundup Scheduled!
June 27-29th, 2024
The early version of The Roundup was held in Seeley Lake, Montana from 1984 to 1999. Eventually, the event outgrew this small grass airstrip, and there were several years that went by without festivities. Then in 2012, the Hoff family from Idaho Falls offered to host the event, and The Roundup has been held there ever since.
Each year, radial engine enthusiasts gather to reconnect and share their passion for vintage aviation.
BACKCOUNTRY FLYING
The Roundup offers opportunities to fly some of the most scenic areas of southeastern Idaho. The annual breakfast at the Smiley Creek grass strip is nestled at the foot of the Sawtooth mountains, and is a great way to start any day!

Roundup Registration
Join us in June! Registration by June 1, 2024 is mandatory.
Updated registration forms for each year will be posted in April, and specific information for the upcoming fly-in will also be updated at that time. Registration must be completed and submitted at least 2 weeks in advance, as meals are limited.
